Freight routes and customs

The move begins in India. Export clearance is filed through ICEGATE, with the shipping bill prepared under the Customs Act and AD code registration completed at the originating port. Sea freight departs Nhava Sheva (JNPT), Mundra, Chennai or Cochin to Vietnam’s principal gateways — the Cát Lái terminal and Cái Mép deep-water port serving Ho Chi Minh City, and Hải Phòng in the north serving Hanoi. Port-to-port transit commonly runs around 12 to 20 days depending on routing and transhipment. Air freight from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bengaluru (BLR) or Chennai (MAA) routes into Tan Son Nhat (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City or Noi Bai (HAN) in Hanoi for time-critical, lower-volume moves.

At the destination, customs is administered by the General Department of Vietnam Customs. Vietnam grants relief from import duty on used personal and household effects for people transferring residence, where the goods are owned and used before the move and supported by a detailed inventory, passport, visa and proof of relocation. Accurate documentation prepared at the India end keeps clearance at the Vietnamese port straightforward.

3. Pack and dispatch. Our crew packs to export standard, and the shipment is booked and dispatched on the confirmed route to a Vietnamese port or airport.
4. Clear and deliver in Vietnam. We manage clearance with the General Department of Vietnam Customs, advise on used-goods relief and coordinate final delivery to your address.
