2. Long-haul packing

   An intercity load is packed for the road, not just for the lift. Fragiles get bubble wrap and corrugated sheets with extra cushioning against vibration, furniture is blanket-wrapped and stretch-wrapped, and glass tops, mirrors and televisions are crated. Everything is inventoried and labelled by room so the Pune or Mumbai unpack is quick and nothing goes missing across 150 kilometres.

3. Transit on the Expressway

   With the gate-pass cleared and the lift slot booked at the pickup, the load goes into a dedicated truck or a shared part-load, secured for the road, and runs down the Mumbai-Pune Expressway — usually around three to four hours of driving. 4. Delivery, unpack and reassemble

Long-haul packing

The single biggest difference is the packing. The e-way bill and GST

Moving household goods between Maharashtra cities means the consignment travels with a GST e-way bill where the value threshold applies. We raise it correctly and the GST is shown on your invoice, never buried — so the paperwork that follows your goods down the Expressway is in order if it is ever checked.

Transit insurance

Because the goods spend hours on the road, transit insurance matters more here than on a city hop. We price it on the declared value of your goods and recommend it for any intercity load. The cover and a clear claims route are in place — though with trained packing graded to the journey, the aim is to never need it.

Timing on a short corridor

The 150-kilometre distance is the route’s advantage. A morning dispatch out of Mumbai can reach Pune the same evening on a dedicated vehicle, and the reverse holds for Pune to Mumbai. • Home size and volume — a 1RK, 1BHK, 2BHK or 3BHK each carry a different load, and it is the volume, not the bedroom count alone, that sets the vehicle and the crew.
• Dedicated versus shared truck — a full dedicated vehicle prices higher than a shared part-load, and which suits you depends on how much you are moving and how fast you need it.
• Packing grade — a fragile-heavy home that needs crating and extra cushioning for the road costs more to pack than a lighter load, and we price what your goods need to survive the Expressway.
• Floor and lift at both ends — a working service lift at the Mumbai pickup and the Pune drop is quicker and cheaper to clear than a walk-up that needs a long manual carry at either end.
