   With the gate-pass cleared and the lift slot booked at the pickup, the load goes into a dedicated truck or a shared part-load, lashed down for the road, and runs down NH-48 or the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway — roughly six to seven hours of driving. The inter-state e-way bill is raised, transit insurance is in place, and your coordinator confirms the dispatch and arrival window before the truck pulls out.

4. Delivery, unpack and reassemble

   At the destination the crew carries up, unpacks against the inventory, rebuilds the beds and wardrobes, sets the heavy furniture where you want it, and clears the empty cartons on the same visit — whether the drop is an OMR apartment in Sholinganallur or a return into an HSR Layout flat. Next-day delivery is usually feasible on this corridor.

What is different about an intercity move

A shift between two cities asks a handful of questions a local move never raises. These are the ones that decide how your Bangalore-Chennai day actually plays out.

Long-haul packing

The biggest difference is the packing. Because your belongings spend most of a day on the road, transit insurance counts for more here than on a city hop.
