In Haiti, imports are cleared by the Administration Générale des Douanes (AGD) through the port at Port-au-Prince or Cap-Haïtien. Sea freight is the principal mode for this corridor. Containers depart Nhava Sheva (JNPT), Mundra, Chennai or Cochin and route to Port-au-Prince — the main gateway — or Cap-Haïtien in the north. There are no direct services from India, so cargo routes through a Caribbean transhipment hub such as Kingston or Caucedo; realistic port-to-port transit runs about 35 to 55 days, and we plan for the wider end given the possibility of port congestion or disruption. Air freight from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bengaluru (BLR) or Chennai (MAA) reaches Toussaint Louverture International Airport (PAP) at Port-au-Prince on multi-stop routings via a Gulf hub and a North American or Caribbean connection.
