Freight routes and customs

The move begins in India. Export clearance is filed through ICEGATE, with the shipping bill prepared under the Customs Act and AD code registration completed at the originating port. Sea freight departs Nhava Sheva (JNPT), Mundra, Chennai or Cochin. Depending on conditions at the time of shipment, cargo may route to the Black Sea port of Odesa or, where access is constrained, to a European hub such as Constanța in Romania or Gdańsk in Poland, with onward overland transit into Ukraine. Transit times therefore vary considerably and are confirmed at booking. Air freight from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bengaluru (BLR) or Chennai (MAA) is similarly routed via a European gateway with onward surface transport.

At the destination, customs is administered by the State Customs Service of Ukraine. Ukraine provides relief from import duty and VAT on used personal and household belongings for people transferring residence, where the goods are owned and used before the move and supported by an inventory, passport and proof of relocation. Documentation accuracy is essential, particularly where the consignment crosses an EU border before reaching Ukraine.

4. Clear and deliver in Ukraine. We manage clearance with the State Customs Service of Ukraine, advise on used-goods relief and coordinate final delivery to your address.
