Uzbekistan, the most populous country in Central Asia, has opened steadily to international trade and investment, and the India–Uzbekistan relationship spans pharmaceuticals, textiles, education, agriculture and infrastructure. The corridor carries professionals on technical and commercial postings, medical and education staff, families joining relatives, and companies establishing a presence in Tashkent and the wider region. For each of them, the move from India is a logistics challenge shaped by Uzbekistan’s landlocked, doubly inland position.
Seemleius handles the India–Uzbekistan corridor as a single managed process. Uzbekistan has no coastline, so every shipment combines a sea leg to a regional port with a long overland transit by road or rail. We plan the route — and explain it — from the start, so the two stages of the journey are understood and the timeline is realistic rather than optimistic.
Freight routes and customs
The move begins in India. Export clearance is filed through ICEGATE, with the shipping bill prepared under the Customs Act and AD code registration completed at the originating port. Sea freight departs Nhava Sheva (JNPT) or Mundra, with two main routings: via Bandar Abbas in Iran and then overland north into Uzbekistan, or via a Black Sea or Baltic port with rail transit through the region. The combined sea-and-land journey commonly runs around five to nine weeks depending on routing and border crossings. Air freight from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bengaluru (BLR) or Chennai (MAA) routes into Tashkent International Airport (TAS) for time-critical, lower-volume moves.
At the destination, customs is administered by the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan allows relief from import duty on used personal and household effects for people relocating their residence, where the goods are owned and used before the move and supported by a detailed inventory, passport and proof of relocation. Because the consignment crosses one or more borders in transit, accurate documentation is essential to keep it moving.

Who moves on this corridor
The India–Uzbekistan corridor serves a range of moves. Household relocations include professionals and families on pharmaceutical, education, healthcare and engineering postings, and those joining relatives already settled. Business and office moves cover companies setting up trading, manufacturing and service operations in Tashkent and beyond. Commercial freight spans machinery, pharmaceutical, textile and project consignments. This single page covers the whole corridor.
Where we deliver in Uzbekistan
We deliver across Uzbekistan’s major cities: the capital Tashkent; the historic cities of Samarkand and Bukhara; Namangan, Andijan and Fergana in the densely populated Fergana Valley; Nukus in the west; and Qarshi in the south. Onward delivery to smaller towns is arranged on request. If your destination is not listed, tell us — we cover the whole country.
How your move works
- India-side survey. We assess volume and contents at your home or office in India, in person or by video, and return a clear quote with realistic Tashkent arrival windows.
- Export documentation. Indian export paperwork is prepared early — shipping bill filed through ICEGATE, AD code confirmed, packing list and invoice ready for a multi-border transit.
- Pack, dispatch and transit. Our crew packs to export standard, the shipment sails to the regional port and moves overland by road or rail into Uzbekistan.
- Clear and deliver in Uzbekistan. We manage clearance with the State Customs Committee, advise on used-goods relief and coordinate final delivery to your address.
