With no direct service to Samoa, containers route via a major transhipment hub — commonly Singapore or a port in Australia or New Zealand — before a Pacific feeder service completes the journey, with overall transit commonly in the range of 40 to 60 days depending on connections.

Samoa’s principal cargo gateway is the Port of Apia on the island of Upolu. Air freight moves from Mumbai (BOM), Delhi (DEL), Bengaluru (BLR) or Chennai (MAA) into Faleolo International Airport near Apia, always via connecting hubs in Southeast Asia, Australia or New Zealand. Customs clearance is handled by the Samoa Ministry for Revenue, which administers customs functions. Returning residents and qualifying immigrants may import used personal and household effects under concession provisions, and we confirm eligibility and documentation before the shipment leaves India.
