Peru sits at the western edge of South America, and a move from the UAE to Lima or Cusco is a genuine long-haul relocation — one that rewards careful freight planning and accurate paperwork. Seemleius runs the Dubai–Peru corridor as a managed sequence, not a leap of faith.

The UAE–Peru route carries mining and energy professionals heading to Lima head offices, returning Peruvian nationals, and businesses opening Andean operations. It is a corridor defined by transhipment — there is no direct sea or air service — and by Peru’s own customs procedures, which we prepare for in detail before anything leaves the Emirates.

Freight routes and customs

Sea freight departs Jebel Ali and routes via a transhipment hub — commonly in Europe, Panama or the Caribbean — before arriving at the Port of Callao, the deep-water gateway serving Lima and by far Peru’s largest container terminal. Full-container household volumes typically run 35 to 50 days door to door depending on the connection. Air freight leaves DXB and connects through a European or North American hub into Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, suitable when the timeline is tight or the volume is modest.

Peruvian customs is administered by SUNAT, the national tax and customs authority. Returning residents and qualifying new arrivals may claim relief on used household effects under the menaje de casa regime, which covers personal goods owned and used before the move. The declaration must be precise: a detailed valued inventory, passport and visa evidence, and a clean match between documents and the physical shipment. We prepare the SUNAT file in advance so clearance at Callao proceeds without surprises.

Sea & air freight

Sea via Jebel Ali and a transhipment hub into Callao for full households — air through DXB and a connecting hub into Lima when speed matters.

SUNAT customs handled

Menaje de casa used-goods relief, valued inventories and import documentation prepared and verified before departure.

Transhipment managed

No direct service means a connection — we book it, track it and own the handover so your shipment does not stall mid-route.

One coordinator

A single point of contact runs your move from the UAE survey to the Peruvian delivery, with no gaps between vendors.

Who moves this route

The corridor serves households relocating full homes to Lima’s coastal districts, professionals on individual postings with part-container or air shipments, and businesses moving office contents or commercial freight for Andean operations. Whether it is a family villa, a single-room consignment or a palletised commercial load, the same corridor and the same coordinator handle it.

Where we deliver

We move regularly to Peru’s major cities and their surrounding regions:

  • Lima — the capital and economic centre, with most arrivals settling in districts such as Miraflores, San Isidro and Barranco
  • Arequipa — the southern commercial hub and second city, gateway to the mining south
  • Cusco — the historic Andean city and a destination for tourism-sector and heritage relocations
  • Trujillo — a northern coastal centre with strong agricultural and commercial activity
  • Piura — a northern regional capital close to the Ecuadorian border and the country’s energy sector

How your move works

  1. Survey and quote. We assess volume and contents — in person in the UAE or by video — and return a clear, itemised quote with freight options explained.
  2. Document in advance. Dates are confirmed, transhipment space is booked, and the SUNAT menaje de casa file is prepared and checked before the shipment leaves the UAE.
  3. Pack and ship. Our crew packs to export standard, builds a full inventory, and dispatches from Jebel Ali or DXB on the booked route.
  4. Clear and deliver. We manage customs clearance at Callao or Lima airport and coordinate onward delivery and unpacking at your address.

Every Dubai–Peru move starts with an honest conversation about volume, timing and budget. Request a quote and your coordinator will map the route that fits your relocation.
