Armenia, in the South Caucasus, has become an increasingly active destination for relocations — drawn by a growing technology sector, a sizeable diaspora and a comparatively straightforward residency path. Moving a household or a business from the UAE to Armenia is very workable, though the country is landlocked, so the freight routing needs thought. Seemleius plans that routing on the Dubai–Yerevan corridor.
The UAE–Armenia route carries diaspora families returning or resettling, technology and services professionals relocating to Yerevan, and businesses establishing a Caucasus base. We coordinate the sea and air freight, the overland leg and the customs steps so the move arrives without surprises.
Freight routes and customs
Armenia has no seaport, so household sea freight from Jebel Ali discharges at a regional port — most commonly Poti or Batumi in Georgia — and completes the journey overland to Yerevan. Container transit from Jebel Ali to the Georgian Black Sea ports typically runs 20 to 32 days, with the road leg adding a further day or two. Air freight from DXB into Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan offers a faster option for urgent or smaller consignments.
Customs is handled by the State Revenue Committee. Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union, which shapes its tariff framework. Returning nationals and incoming residents can generally import used personal effects under transfer-of-residence relief, supported by a detailed valued inventory and proof of residency status. We prepare the documentation, including the Georgian transit paperwork, in advance.

Who moves this route
The corridor serves the full range. Household relocations cover diaspora families and professionals moving full furniture loads. Business and office moves include technology and services companies establishing Yerevan operations and transferring records, IT and workstations. Commercial freight covers trade stock and equipment for the growing industrial base.
Where we deliver
We deliver across Armenia’s main cities:
- Yerevan — the capital, where most business and household moves arrive
- Gyumri — the second city, in the north-west
- Vanadzor — a regional centre in the north
- Vagharshapat — the historic city of Etchmiadzin near Yerevan
- Hrazdan — an industrial town north-east of the capital
- Abovyan — a city in the Yerevan metropolitan area
How your move works
- Survey and quote. We assess volume and contents in the UAE, in person or by video, and return a clear itemised quote with the routing explained.
- Document in advance. Dates are confirmed, freight space is booked, and Armenian customs and Georgian transit paperwork is prepared and verified before departure.
- Pack and ship. Our crew packs to export standard, builds a full inventory and dispatches from Jebel Ali or DXB.
- Clear and deliver. We manage the Black Sea port, the overland leg, Armenian clearance and delivery, unpacking and reassembly at your address.
Whether you are a diaspora family resettling, a professional joining the tech sector or a business opening a Yerevan base, the UAE–Armenia corridor is well within reach. Request a quote and your coordinator will plan it.
