Saint Kitts and Nevis is a small twin-island federation in the eastern Caribbean, and a move there from the UAE is a long-haul relocation that needs careful freight planning. The corridor carries citizenship-by-investment families, returning nationals and retirees drawn to island life, and Seemleius runs it as a managed transhipment route.
As a compact island nation, Saint Kitts and Nevis has no direct sea or air service from the Gulf, so every shipment connects through an established hub. That makes route planning the heart of the move — choosing the connection, booking the space and owning the handover — alongside the federation’s own customs procedures.
Freight routes and customs
Sea freight departs Jebel Ali and routes via a transhipment hub — commonly a major Caribbean port such as Kingston in Jamaica or Caucedo in the Dominican Republic — before a regional feeder service brings containers into Port Zante or the deep-water cargo port at Basseterre on Saint Kitts, with onward transfer to Charlestown on Nevis. Door-to-door transit for full-container volumes generally runs 35 to 55 days. Air freight leaves DXB and connects through a North American or Caribbean hub into Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport on Saint Kitts.
Customs is administered by the St Kitts and Nevis Customs and Excise Department. Returning nationals and qualifying new residents may claim relief on used household effects, subject to proof of prior ownership and residency intent. A detailed valued inventory, passport and immigration or citizenship documentation are required. We prepare the customs file in advance so clearance at Basseterre proceeds without surprises.

One coordinator
A single point of contact owns your move from the UAE survey to the island delivery, with no handover gaps.
Who moves this route
The corridor serves households relocating full homes to the islands, individuals with part-container or air shipments, and businesses moving office contents or commercial freight for hospitality and tourism operations. Every shipment, large or small, follows the same managed transhipment route.
Where we deliver
We move regularly to the federation’s towns and surrounding districts:
- Basseterre — the capital and main commercial centre on Saint Kitts, and the federation’s port of entry
- Charlestown — the principal town of Nevis, reached by inter-island transfer
- Frigate Bay & the southeast peninsula — the resort and residential belt favoured by many arrivals
- Sandy Point Town — a historic town on the northwest coast of Saint Kitts
How your move works
- Survey and quote. We assess volume and contents — in person in the UAE or by video — and return a clear, itemised quote with freight options explained.
- Document in advance. Dates are confirmed, transhipment and feeder space is booked, and the customs file is prepared and checked before the shipment leaves the UAE.
- Pack and ship. Our crew packs to export standard, builds a full inventory, and dispatches from Jebel Ali or DXB.
- Clear and deliver. We manage customs clearance at Basseterre and coordinate onward delivery, including transfer to Nevis, to your address.
Every Dubai–Saint Kitts move starts with a clear conversation about volume, timing and budget. Request a quote and your coordinator will map the route.
