Project & Heavy Cargo
Oversized, heavy and project cargo moved with the engineering, routing and coordination it demands.
Some freight will not fit a container, a standard schedule or a standard process. Oversized equipment, heavy industrial loads, multi-part project shipments — these need route surveys, specialised equipment, permits and a coordinator who treats the move as an engineering exercise. Seemleius project and heavy cargo is that service: built for the freight that ordinary forwarding cannot absorb.
It is the specialist tier of our freight forwarding service, and it overlaps closely with our machinery moving work.
What is included
Route survey
Assessment of dimensions, weight and the physical route — clearances, access and any constraints.
Specialised equipment
Flat-rack, open-top and heavy-lift solutions matched to the cargo rather than the other way round.
Permits & coordination
Oversized-load permits and multi-party coordination arranged as part of the plan.
Project management
A method statement, schedule and single point of contact for cargo that has many moving parts.
How it works
- Brief and survey. We assess the cargo and the route, and identify what needs arranging in advance.
- Plan the method. You receive a method statement and schedule covering equipment, permits and routing.
- Execute the move. The cargo is loaded, secured and transported with the right equipment and crew.
- Deliver and confirm. The shipment is delivered to plan, with your coordinator owning the outcome throughout.
Why use Seemleius for project cargo
Project and heavy cargo is unforgiving — the cost of an unplanned move is measured in damaged equipment, blocked routes and missed deadlines. That is why we plan it properly: surveyed, documented, permitted and scheduled, with one coordinator accountable for the whole shipment. Our experience with awkward dimensions and heavy loads shows in the details others miss.
Every project cargo move is scoped individually — there is no standard quote because there is no standard shipment. Tell us about your cargo and we will scope it properly.

Contact usHow do I get a quote for this service?
Use the step-by-step quote form — it takes about a minute — or call us directly. Every quote is free, itemised and with no obligation.
Is my shipment insured?
Transit insurance is available on every service. Your coordinator will explain the cover options when quoting so you can choose what suits the shipment.
How far ahead should I book?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for most jobs, but we regularly handle urgent work. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility you have on dates.
Do you handle the paperwork and customs?
Yes — where a service involves customs or documentation, we prepare and submit it on your behalf and keep you updated at each stage.
Will I have one point of contact?
Always. A dedicated coordinator owns your job from first quote to completion — no call centre, no being passed around.
