Cameroon is one of Central Africa’s key economies and a regional gateway, with a coastline on the Gulf of Guinea and ports that serve not only Cameroon but several landlocked neighbours. A move from the UAE to Cameroon is a well-defined sea or air route into a country with established freight infrastructure, and Seemleius manages it as one coordinated job from the UAE survey to delivery in Douala or Yaoundé.
The UAE–Cameroon corridor carries oil, gas and engineering professionals, NGO and development staff, traders and entrepreneurs, and Cameroonian families returning from the Gulf. It is a bilingual country with two main commercial centres, and the route’s practicalities — port selection, customs documentation and the inland leg to the capital — are what we plan carefully for each move.
Freight routes and customs into Cameroon
Sea freight from Jebel Ali sails to the Port of Douala, Cameroon’s principal commercial port, or to the newer deep-water Port of Kribi, with transit typically around 20 to 32 days, sometimes via a transhipment hub. From the coast, goods move inland by road to Yaoundé and other cities. Air freight from DXB routes into Douala International Airport (DLA) or Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport, generally via a regional hub, and is the faster option for urgent or smaller consignments.
Customs clearance is handled by the Direction Générale des Douanes (Cameroon Customs). Returning nationals and new residents may claim relief on used personal and household effects under transfer-of-residence provisions, subject to a detailed inventory, passport, residence or work documentation and evidence of prior ownership. We prepare the declaration and supporting paperwork in the UAE so the file is complete and consistent on arrival.

A single point of contact owns the move from the UAE survey to delivery in Cameroon — no gaps between sea, road and customs stages.
Who moves on this route
The UAE–Cameroon corridor serves household relocations — families and individuals shipping furniture and personal effects — alongside business and office moves for companies setting up or rotating staff. We also handle commercial freight, from project and oilfield equipment to retail and trade goods. Each move is surveyed and quoted on its own terms, then run through one corridor plan.
Where we deliver
We deliver to Cameroon’s major cities and regional centres:
- Douala — the largest city, economic capital and home of the country’s principal port
- Yaoundé — the political capital and second city, in the centre of the country
- Bamenda — a major northwestern city and regional hub
- Bafoussam — a key city in the Western Highlands
- Garoua and Kribi — a northern commercial centre and the southern deep-water port town
How your move works
- Survey and quote. We assess volume and contents in the UAE, in person or by video, and return a clear itemised quote with sea and air options for the Cameroon corridor.
- Document in advance. Routing is confirmed, vessel or aircraft space is booked, and Cameroon customs paperwork is prepared and checked before departure.
- Pack and ship. Our crew packs to export standard, builds a full inventory, and dispatches from Jebel Ali or DXB on the agreed route.
- Clear and deliver. We manage port handling, customs clearance and inland haulage, then coordinate delivery and unpacking at your address in Cameroon.
Whether you are moving a household, an office or commercial freight from the UAE to Cameroon, your coordinator will set out the routing and timing clearly. Request a quote to begin.
