A corporate relocation from the UAE to Italy is not a large household move. It is a sequenced project: office furniture that must be reassembled to an Italian floor plan, IT that has to come back up in the right order, commercial goods with their own classification and import treatment, and a customs process at the Agenzia delle Dogane that expects the documentation to reconcile. Italian working practices also shape how the move is scheduled. Building access in many cities is constrained — historic centres with restricted-traffic zones (the ZTL), narrow streets and shared courtyards mean lift trucks and large vehicles need permits and timed access windows arranged well in advance. Condominio rules frequently restrict noisy work to defined hours and prohibit it during the long lunch break and on Sundays. If the move includes commercial stock, samples or operational equipment, the EU import side requires an EORI number registered against the Italian entity, accurate HS classification for each line item, and an electronic declaration lodged with the Agenzia delle Dogane ahead of the cargo arriving at Genoa or Livorno. We prepare the import file in parallel with the move itself, so customs treatment is not the bottleneck on day one.
