Uzbekistan is a doubly landlocked country at the centre of Central Asia, reached overland through a chain of neighbouring states. Moving there from the UAE is a corridor defined by its inland legs — and that is where planning earns its keep. Seemleius coordinates the Dubai–Uzbekistan route as one continuous chain, so a shipment that travels far by sea and far again by land arrives in Tashkent intact and on schedule.
The UAE–Uzbekistan corridor has grown alongside the country’s economic opening. It carries professionals joining energy, mining and infrastructure projects, families relocating to Tashkent and Samarkand, returning Uzbeks, and businesses establishing a Central Asian foothold. The UAE’s direct air links to Tashkent make this an active route, and one where the freight detail — the transhipment port, the rail corridor, the customs framework — is well understood.
Freight routes & customs
Sea freight from Jebel Ali routes to the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas, the most direct gateway, with onward road or rail transport north through the region into Uzbekistan; an alternative routing runs via the Black Sea and the Caucasus. Door-to-door transit typically runs around six to nine weeks given the long overland leg. Air freight from DXB flies direct into Tashkent International Airport in roughly three and a half hours, the practical choice for urgent or higher-value consignments.
Customs is administered by the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Returning citizens and residents may import used personal and household effects with relief from import duty where the goods have been owned and used abroad and are presented with a detailed inventory and passport and residence evidence. We prepare the declaration in advance and confirm the treatment before the shipment leaves the UAE.

Overland corridor managed
The long road and rail leg through Central Asia is planned and tracked as part of one coordinated route.
One coordinator
A single point of contact owns the move from the UAE survey to delivery, with no gaps between vendors.
Who moves this route
The corridor serves a varied mix. Household relocations make up the largest share — families and individuals settling in Tashkent and Samarkand for work or a return home. Business and office moves cover companies opening Central Asian operations, shipping furniture, IT and records. Commercial freight supports project cargo into the energy and infrastructure sectors. This single page covers all three; the overland routing into Uzbekistan applies to each.
Where we deliver
We coordinate delivery to Uzbekistan’s major cities and surrounding regions:
- Tashkent — the capital and largest city, the commercial, administrative and transport hub of the country
- Samarkand — the historic city on the Silk Road and a major cultural and economic centre
- Bukhara — a historic city and regional centre in the south-west
- Namangan — a large city in the Fergana Valley in the east
- Andijan — an industrial city in the eastern Fergana Valley
How your move works
- Survey and quote. We assess volume and contents in the UAE, in person or by video, and return a clear itemised quote with route options explained.
- Document in advance. The sea and overland legs are booked, and Uzbek customs paperwork is prepared before the shipment leaves the UAE.
- Pack and ship. Our crew packs to export standard for a long combined transit, builds a full inventory, and dispatches from Jebel Ali or DXB.
- Clear and deliver. We manage clearance at the transhipment port and the Uzbek border, then coordinate onward delivery and unpacking at your address.
A Central Asian move benefits from a single coordinated plan. Tell us your dates and contents — request a quote and your coordinator will map the corridor for you.
