Banned and restricted breeds

Certain breeds — particularly some larger working and bull-type dogs — are restricted or banned from entry into Kuwait, and the list is updated periodically. Shipping a vehicle to Kuwait

Moving a car or motorcycle to Kuwait from the UAE involves a choice the owner rarely expects: the same mode question that applies to any freight on this corridor. GCC-spec verification and the import duty position

Kuwait permits the import of GCC-specification vehicles relatively cleanly; non-GCC-spec vehicles face additional scrutiny and, in some cases, are not permitted at all. We verify the specification status against the vehicle’s VIN before the move is booked, so a vehicle that will not be accepted in Kuwait is not loaded onto a container in Jebel Ali. Duty is assessed at the standard rate on the declared CIF value unless personal-effects provisions apply — we set out the position in writing in the quote.

MOI registration and transit number plates

On arrival in Kuwait, the vehicle is presented to the Ministry of Interior for registration. This requires the bayan, the export deregistration certificate, insurance arranged on the Kuwait side, and an inspection at the MOI inspection centre. We coordinate the application of transit number plates where the vehicle needs to move on the road between port clearance and the inspection centre, so the owner is not driving on UAE plates in Kuwait or paying for trailer transport between every step. The final Kuwait plates are issued once registration is approved.
