Imported personal effects require a detailed inventory, passport and residence or work-permit documentation, a values declaration, and processing through Ghana’s electronic clearance system. Returning residents and those relocating may be eligible for relief on used household goods under transfer-of-residence provisions, assessed on the supporting paperwork.
