Sea freight departs Jebel Ali and routes via a transhipment hub — typically Panama or a Pacific gateway port — before arriving at the Port of Guayaquil, Ecuador’s principal seaport, with onward road delivery from there. Transit is long, commonly in the region of six to nine weeks door to door, and is the cost-effective choice for full household volumes. Air freight from DXB connects through a European or US gateway into Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO) in Quito or José Joaquín de Olmedo (GYE) in Guayaquil for urgent or smaller consignments.

Customs is administered by the Servicio Nacional de Aduana del Ecuador (SENAE). Returning citizens and new residents may import used household goods with relief from import duties under the menáje de casa transfer-of-residence provisions, subject to a detailed inventory, proof of prior ownership and residence or visa documentation. SENAE reviews the inventory and valuation closely. We prepare and verify every document before the shipment sails.
