From the port, goods move inland by road, including the climb to Bogotá and Medellín. Air freight from DXB routes via a connecting hub into El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá (BOG) and is the faster choice for urgent or smaller consignments.

Customs clearance is handled by the Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales (DIAN). Returning residents and new arrivals may claim relief on used household effects under transfer-of-residence (menáje doméstico) provisions, subject to a detailed valued inventory, passport, visa documentation and proof of prior ownership. We prepare the declaration in the UAE so the file is consistent when the shipment reaches Colombian customs.
