Germany is one of the most common destinations for UAE businesses expanding their European operations — for good reason. Frankfurt’s Bankenviertel financial infrastructure, Munich’s technology and life-sciences cluster, Berlin’s start-up density, Düsseldorf’s media houses, Stuttgart and the southern engineering belt, Hamburg’s commercial position on the North Sea. When a UAE business makes that move, the relocation is rarely happening in isolation; it usually runs alongside entity formation, a new lease, an HR mobility programme and a team that needs to be operational from day one. The physical move cannot be the part that introduces risk.

What “operational on day one” requires

A corporate relocation from the UAE to Germany is not a large house move. It is a sequenced project: office furniture that needs to be reassembled to a German floor plan, IT that must come back up in the right order, commercial goods with their own classification and import treatment, and a Zoll customs process that will examine documentation carefully. We treat it as exactly that — an operational project with a single owner and a delivery standard measured in continuity, not cartons.

German workplace rules also shape the way the move is scheduled. If the business already has staff in country, a Betriebsrat (works council) may have consultation rights on workplace changes — including a relocation — and that conversation has to happen early. The country’s Ruhezeit rules also restrict noisy work on Sundays and public holidays, which has practical consequences for weekend cut-over moves: lift trucks, drills and the heavier reassembly work need to be scheduled outside protected hours, especially in mixed-use buildings where residential neighbours can and do enforce the rules.

Office furniture & fit-out

Workstations, desks, storage and meeting-room equipment dismantled in the UAE, packed, shipped to Hamburg from a port outside the Strait of Hormuz, and reassembled to your German floor plan.

IT & sensitive equipment

Handled and sequenced so servers, network kit and end-user devices reach your German office in the right order, ready to be reconnected — with secure decommissioning at the UAE origin.

EU commercial customs

Business goods import documentation prepared accurately for the German Zoll — ATLAS clearance, HS classification, EORI registration, valuation and supporting records done properly.

Phased scheduling

The move sequenced to keep operating downtime to a minimum — typically across a weekend or quiet period, respecting Ruhezeit constraints in the destination building.

Corporate destinations in Germany

We relocate offices and operations to all of Germany’s main business centres:

  • Frankfurt — the Bankenviertel financial services district, banking, asset management and international corporate headquarters
  • Munich — technology, life sciences, automotive engineering and a strong corporate-tenant office market
  • Berlin — technology start-ups, media houses and government-adjacent businesses
  • Hamburg — trade, logistics, shipping and media companies clustered around the port
  • Stuttgart — automotive, manufacturing and engineering firms across the southern industrial belt
  • Düsseldorf — media, fashion, professional services and a long-established international business community

IT decommissioning and German data rules

Corporate moves into Germany increasingly turn on the IT element. Servers and storage decommissioned in the UAE often hold personal data that, once the company has German operations, falls under the strict GDPR enforcement environment of the country’s federal and state Datenschutzbehörden. We coordinate secure decommissioning, certified data destruction where required, and logistics that keep custody chains documented so the audit trail is clean. End-user devices are typically shipped with the user where possible to minimise downtime, with shared infrastructure scheduled around the IT cutover plan.

Commercial goods and the EORI/ATLAS chain

If the move includes commercial stock, samples or operational equipment, the EU import side requires an EORI number registered against the German entity and accurate HS classification for each line item, and the ATLAS declaration can be prepared before the cargo reaches Hamburg or Bremerhaven. We prepare the import file in parallel with the move itself so customs treatment is not the bottleneck on day one.

How a corporate move runs

  1. Survey and assess. We survey the UAE premises and review the German destination with you, covering access and lift availability at each, building hours, and any Ruhezeit or works council constraints that affect timing.
  2. Plan the move window. The schedule is built around the window that costs your operation the least — start date, building access, IT cutover, Betriebsrat consultation if applicable.
  3. Pack, ship and clear. Our crew packs and labels to the German floor plan, the shipment travels on the booked sea route to Hamburg or by air, and the German Zoll is managed in parallel.
  4. Set up and restart. The German office is laid out, reassembled and ready for your team to bring the operation back up — with Ruhezeit-compliant scheduling for any noisy reassembly tasks.

From a small representative office to a full commercial floor, the measure is the same: continuity. Talk to us about your Germany relocation and we will plan it around your operational requirements, your works council timeline and the realities of moving into a German building.

Common questions about this move

How long does a move to Germany take?

It depends on the freight mode, the volume and the routing, which your coordinator confirms at the survey along with a realistic window — sea freight is the economical choice for a full household, air freight is faster for essentials.

Do you handle customs at both ends?

Yes, with our destination partner: we prepare the export paperwork in Dubai, and clearance at the destination is handled by our partner there. Some countries ask you to apply for duty relief yourself — your coordinator tells you what to file and when.

Is my shipment insured in transit?

Transit insurance (all-risk cover) is available. Your coordinator explains the cover options when quoting, and the terms are confirmed in your quote.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to four weeks is comfortable for most international moves, but we regularly handle urgent relocations. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility you have on dates and freight space.

Will I have one point of contact?

Yes — one coordinator in Dubai looks after your move from the survey to delivery and works with our destination partner, so you are never passed between companies.
