When a UAE business moves operations to Australia, the measure is always operational continuity. The desks, the IT and the file servers are the visible elements — the real question is whether the team was up and running in the new Australian office without an extended gap. Seemleius corporate and office relocation on the UAE–Australia corridor is structured as a project, not a large household move, and it is planned around your trading windows from the start. Whether the destination is a CBD tower in Sydney, a Melbourne creative-quarter office, a Perth resources-sector headquarters, a Brisbane regional hub or a Canberra office serving the federal Government corridor, the engineering is the same: sequence the move so the new space is ready before people arrive.

Australia’s commercial entry requirements apply to office goods too

Australian biosecurity inspection, run by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), covers commercial shipments as well as households. Wooden office furniture, packing pallets, archive boxes and any goods with plant or animal-derived components are subject to inspection. For a corporate move, this matters: a held shipment of office furniture or server-room equipment costs more than storage fees — it costs operating time and risks the fitout schedule. We build biosecurity compliance and ISPM-15 documentation into the packing plan, so the inspection at the Australian wharf does not become a project delay.

Setting up the Australian entity

For UAE businesses establishing in Australia, two regulatory tracks tend to overlap with the physical move. The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) handles company registration and the Australian Company Number (ACN); the Australian Business Number (ABN) follows through the ATO. Australia’s Fair Work system governs employment conditions — including minimum wages, leave entitlements and the National Employment Standards — which are materially different from UAE labour norms and worth briefing the leadership team on early. Weekend trading and weekend work rules also differ from the UAE: Sundays attract penalty rates in many awards. We are not lawyers or accountants, but we sequence the relocation around the dates your entity, lease and onboarding need.

What we coordinate

Office furniture & fit-out

Workstations, storage and fit-out items dismantled in the UAE, wrapped, shipped by sea, then reassembled to your floor plan at the Australian premises.

IT decommissioning & recommissioning

Asset register confirmed in Dubai, servers and network shut down in sequence, cabling and IT equipment crated, and powered back up in the correct order at the Australian office.

Commercial customs & biosecurity

Australian Border Force import filing, DAFF biosecurity declarations and ISPM-15 documentation handled, with accurate HS classification done in advance.

Phased execution

The relocation is sequenced around your operating windows — staged across weekends, public holidays or planned maintenance windows to minimise downtime.

Freight choices for a corporate move to Australia

Since the Strait of Hormuz closed to commercial shipping in February 2026, an office container for Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane goes by road to a port outside the strait, such as Khor Fakkan or Fujairah on the UAE’s east coast or Sohar in Oman, and sails via Singapore transhipment; Fremantle (Perth) is a shorter sea leg. Routing and dates are confirmed at the survey. For a full office move, a dedicated container is the standard approach — cost-effective, secure and easier to sequence at loading and delivery. Where priority items need to arrive earlier — servers, MD’s office, signage, branded fit-out — an air shipment from DXB on the 14-hour direct route can run alongside the sea container. We set out the options and their trade-offs clearly so you can plan the fit-out completion date around realistic arrival dates rather than wishful ones.

Australian destinations we serve for corporate moves

  • Sydney CBD — financial services, technology and corporate headquarters; high-rise access scheduling matters here
  • Melbourne — professional services, healthcare and creative industries; trams and CBD access shape delivery windows
  • Perth — mining, energy and resources sector; FIFO workforce headquarters and project offices
  • Brisbane — growing regional and head-office market; logistics easier than Sydney CBD
  • Canberra — the Government corridor; consulting firms and contractors serving the federal sector cluster here

How a UAE–Australia corporate move runs

  1. Survey and plan. We assess the UAE premises and, with our destination partner, the Australian destination, map the access constraints at each, then draft a sequenced relocation plan with realistic Singapore transhipment timing built in.
  2. Biosecurity and customs prep. Wooden goods are ISPM-15 documented or treated, biosecurity-sensitive items are flagged, HS classification is confirmed, and Australian Border Force documentation is prepared before packing begins.
  3. Pack and dispatch. The shipment is packed to export standard, fully inventoried and labelled, IT decommissioning is run in sequence, and the consignment is dispatched on the booked sailing or DXB flight.
  4. Clear and reinstate. Australian Border Force customs and DAFF inspection are handled at the wharf with our destination partner, who then delivers, reassembles the floor plan, recommissions the IT and lays out the new space so the team can start operating.

The longer transit window gives us time to prepare the Australian clearance and coordinate the reinstatement plan before the shipment lands. Talk to us about your Australian office move and we will plan it around your operations.

Common questions about this move

How long does a move to Australia take?

It depends on the freight mode, the volume and the routing, which your coordinator confirms at the survey along with a realistic window — sea freight is the economical choice for a full household, air freight is faster for essentials.

Do you handle customs at both ends?

Yes, with our destination partner: we prepare the export paperwork in Dubai, and clearance at the destination is handled by our partner there. Some countries ask you to apply for duty relief yourself — your coordinator tells you what to file and when.

Is my shipment insured in transit?

Transit insurance (all-risk cover) is available. Your coordinator explains the cover options when quoting, and the terms are confirmed in your quote.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to four weeks is comfortable for most international moves, but we regularly handle urgent relocations. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility you have on dates and freight space.

Will I have one point of contact?

Yes — one coordinator in Dubai looks after your move from the survey to delivery and works with our destination partner, so you are never passed between companies.
