Lithuania has become a credible base for UAE businesses entering the European market — and the appeal is easy to understand. Vilnius has built a substantial fintech and shared-services sector, Kaunas anchors manufacturing and logistics, the cost base is lower than most of Western Europe, and the country sits inside the EU single market with a well-educated, multilingual workforce. When a UAE business makes that move, the relocation rarely happens on its own; it runs alongside entity registration, a new lease, an HR mobility plan and a team that has to be productive quickly. The physical move cannot be the part that introduces risk.

What “operational on day one” requires

A corporate relocation from the UAE to Lithuania is not a large house move. It is a sequenced project: office furniture that has to be reassembled to a Lithuanian floor plan, IT that must come back up in the correct order, commercial goods with their own import classification, and an EU customs process that expects accurate documentation. We treat it as exactly that — an operational project with a single owner and a delivery standard measured in business continuity, not cartons unloaded.

Lithuanian working arrangements also shape the schedule. Where a business already has staff in country, the Labour Code gives employees and their representatives information and consultation rights on significant workplace changes, and a relocation can fall into that category — so the conversation needs to start early. Building management at the destination will set access windows, lift bookings and rules on after-hours work, and in mixed-use or city-centre premises in Vilnius the heavier, noisier reassembly work is best scheduled outside quiet hours to avoid disrupting neighbouring tenants.

Office furniture & fit-out

Workstations, desks, storage and meeting-room equipment dismantled in the UAE, packed, shipped to Klaipėda through a port outside the Strait of Hormuz, and reassembled to your Lithuanian floor plan.

IT & sensitive equipment

Handled and sequenced so servers, network kit and end-user devices arrive in the right order and come back up cleanly at the Lithuanian end — with secure decommissioning at the UAE origin.

EU commercial customs

Business goods import documentation prepared accurately for Lithuanian customs — electronic declaration, HS classification, EORI registration, valuation and supporting records done properly.

Phased scheduling

The move sequenced to keep operating downtime to a minimum — typically across a weekend or quiet period, respecting building access rules at the destination.

Corporate destinations in Lithuania

We relocate offices and operations to all of Lithuania’s main business centres:

  • Vilnius — the capital, the fintech and financial-services hub, government, and the largest international corporate office market
  • Kaunas — manufacturing, logistics and engineering, with a free economic zone that draws industrial investment
  • Klaipėda — shipping, maritime industry and port-linked logistics on the Baltic coast
  • Šiauliai — a northern industrial centre with manufacturing and aviation-sector businesses
  • Panevėžys — food production, manufacturing and distribution at a well-connected mid-country location

IT decommissioning and Lithuanian data rules

Corporate moves into Lithuania increasingly hinge on the IT element. Servers and storage decommissioned in the UAE often hold personal data that, once the company has Lithuanian operations, falls under the GDPR enforcement regime overseen by the State Data Protection Inspectorate. We coordinate secure decommissioning, certified data destruction where required, and logistics that keep custody chains documented so the audit trail is clean. End-user devices are typically shipped with their users where possible to minimise downtime, with shared infrastructure scheduled around the IT cutover plan. Background on the corridor itself is in our guide to moving from the UAE to Lithuania.

Commercial goods and the EORI customs chain

If the move includes commercial stock, samples or operational equipment, the EU import side requires an EORI number registered against the Lithuanian entity, accurate HS classification for each line item, and an electronic import declaration submitted before the cargo arrives at Klaipėda. We prepare the import file in parallel with the move itself so customs treatment is not the bottleneck on day one, and we flag any duty or licensing point that applies to your goods.

How a corporate move runs

  1. Survey and plan. We survey the UAE premises, review the Lithuanian destination through our destination partner, and check access and lift availability at each, building hours, and any consultation or scheduling constraints that affect timing.
  2. Plan the move window. The schedule is built around the window that costs your operation the least — start date, building access, IT cutover, and employee consultation where it applies.
  3. Pack, ship and clear. Our crew packs and labels to the Lithuanian floor plan, the shipment travels on the booked sea route to Klaipėda or by air, and Lithuanian customs is managed in parallel.
  4. Set up and restart. The Lithuanian office is laid out, reassembled and ready for your team to bring the operation back up — with noisy reassembly tasks scheduled to respect the destination building’s rules.

From a small representative office to a full commercial floor, the measure is the same: continuity. Talk to us about your Lithuania relocation and we will plan it around your operational requirements, your consultation timeline and the realities of moving into a Lithuanian building.

Common questions about this move

How long does a move to Lithuania take?

It depends on the freight mode, the volume and the routing, which your coordinator confirms at the survey along with a realistic window — sea freight is the economical choice for a full household, air freight is faster for essentials.

Do you handle customs at both ends?

Yes, with our destination partner: we prepare the export paperwork in Dubai, and clearance at the destination is handled by our partner there. Some countries ask you to apply for duty relief yourself — your coordinator tells you what to file and when.

Is my shipment insured in transit?

Transit insurance (all-risk cover) is available. Your coordinator explains the cover options when quoting, and the terms are confirmed in your quote.

How far ahead should I book?

Two to four weeks is comfortable for most international moves, but we regularly handle urgent relocations. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility you have on dates and freight space.

Will I have one point of contact?

Yes — one coordinator in Dubai looks after your move from the survey to delivery and works with our destination partner, so you are never passed between companies.
