Routing and dates depend on sailings and connection times, and are confirmed at the survey. Air freight from DXB routes via a regional hub into Brunei International Airport near Bandar Seri Begawan and suits documents, samples and time-critical cargo.

Clearance is handled by the Royal Customs and Excise Department. Incoming residents and returning nationals can import used personal and household effects with relief on a transfer-of-residence basis, subject to a valued inventory and proof of prior ownership and use abroad. Brunei applies controls on certain goods, and alcohol import is restricted, so documentation must be accurate and complete.
